Ludwigia × taiwanensis Peng

A perennial herb with creeping or floating stems, the Ludwigia × taiwanensis Peng sometimes has white, upward, spindle-shaped aerophores arising in clusters at the node of the floating stem; stems glabrous, branched, the tips ascending. Bracteoles are oval, in pairs near the base of the ovary. The flowers are yellow, with 5 petals. It is common throughout the lowlands of Taiwan, distributing in ditches, fallow and wet paddies, along river banks, about waste swampy grounds and the borders of fish ponds or reservoirs. It is a natural hybrid.
