Niaosong Wetland Park Events

More than 20 years ago, Cheng Ching Lake was often visited by many species of ducks, geese, and swans in the winter. But after the surrounding lands were exploited and developed, they just disappeared. The Kaohsiung Wild Bird Society felt that something had to be done. Thus, Niaosong Wetland Park was born.

Originally, the site of the Park was a detention pond monitored by the Taiwan Water Corporation. Before the completion of the Park, the Society members have been participating in the realization of the Park project. After the completion until now, the Society members have persuade the Society to adopt Niaosong Wetland Park.

Kaohsiung Wild Bird Society is an ecological conservation group, which hopes that our living environments will become better. Niaosong Wetland Park is the first wetland park in Taiwan.
